Intel donates laptops to Vietnam

Intel has given the Vietnam government 1050 notebooks to be distributed to schools to help educate the developing nation’s youth.

According to certain Vietnamese new sources, the majority of laptops will go to ethnic minority boarding schools and the rest will be sent to junior and senior schools across the countries major cities.

Intel’s Sean Maloney said: "Challenges for people in the developing world include limited access to technology."

Education Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan said that Vietnam "recognises the value of technology in learning environment," and expected further collaboration between his government and the chip vendor, reported The Inquirer.
