The UK's premier technology trade show opened its doors today, with security software companies stealing the limelight from the traditional heavy hitters.

Security software dominates Channel Expo

Panda software has a prime spot at the entrance to the show and is heavily promoting its channel relationships, with distributors Blue Solutions, Microtec 99 and Britsoft all having a presence on the stand.

NOD 32 is a main sponsor of the show and has one of the most impressive stands. The Slovakian company is looking to boost its market awareness in the UK with claims of technology leadership in this crowded market.

AVG is promoting its boxed products, with a 2 year licence as standard and F Secure is boasting one of the leading threat response times.

Bullguard has a number of novel products on show, including its security suite designed specifically for gamers and its stand-alone remote backup product.

Elsewhere, Enta has pride of place at the entrance to the show, while the Microsoft roadshow is attracting a lot of attention.
