The mainstream press enjoys a good villain – a reprehensible target posing an uncomplicated but potent threat. Preferably this will be something inherently new, which lends itself nicely to a subtle hint that basically, modern society is going to pot.

When US retail giant Best Buy first announced it was going to delay its big box store rollout until 2010, many asserted that this was due to economic pressures, and that perhaps the US giant would not be making such a splash in the UK retail landscape after all.
Over the past few years (it's difficult to be too specific with these mechanisms) multiple areas of the IT trade have become increasingly reliant on credit insurance in order to maintain a fluid form of trading.
