Intel unveils new processors

The chip giant has released information of two new processors as part of its latest roadmap
News of a further two processors has been revealed by Intel’s latest roadmap – the Yorkfield-based Core 2 Extreme and another Core 2 Duo E4000-sequence processor, according to Daily Tech.
The so called ‘Yorkfield’ processors will have a 1333 MHz front-side bus, while the quad-core processor supports Intel VT, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep and Intel 64 and Execute Disable Bit technologies.
The new Core 2 Duo E4600 has a clock speed of 2.4 GHz. Apart form this speed enhancement, the model is apparently no different from other Core 2 Duo E4000-sequence models.
It has been predicted that the Core 2 Duo E4600 should hit the market at $133 per unit in 1,000 unit quantities, at which point the Core 2 Duo E4500 will drop down to a $113.
