Telltale Games is developing a title based on Game of Thrones, reports IGN.
The publication says multiple sources claim the game will be based on the George R.R. Martin books rather than the HBO series. Meaning it is unclear yet whether the title will be called Game of Thrones or A Song of Ice and Fire – the name of the book series.
Telltale is known for its licensed properties, including Jurassic Park, Back to the Future and The Walking Dead, so it would be a fitting choice to take on the incredibly popular series.
If the sources are correct, this won’t be the first Game of Thrones project. Bigpoint announced the browser-based MMO Game of Thrones: Seven Kingdoms in July last year and there has also been titles from Altus and Focus Home Interactive.
