Varlink becomes Unitech ‘mobility partner’

Varlink has signed a deal with Unitech to distribute its handheld portable terminals, RFID readers and industrial PDAs as part of the vendor’s ongoing push for a greater presence in the UK market.

The distributor is now a Unitech ‘mobility partner’ and is stocking products such as the new PA600 Phone Edition Mobile Computer, PA600 Healthcare PDA and PA600 Mobile Clinic Asssistant. Varlink will also be distributing the hardwearing HT680 mobile computer, which is aimed at the manufacturing, retail, logistics and transportation industries.

“Working together with a distributor with such experience in the mobility market, including a business scope outside that of traditional Auto ID resellers, gives Unitech the confidence to keep improving its level of visibility within the UK market and beyond,” said Raymond Wolfert, Unitech Europe’s sales and marketing manager.

“Varlink’s business capabilities, combined with extensive application knowledge, will be beneficial to Unitech’s VARs and business partners. Varlink will offer our channel partners well-trained technical support staff, excellent marketing services and business matching warehouse facilities,” added Wolfert.
