Michelle McGeoch from Lenovo wins Sales award at PCR Women of the Year 2015

Lenovo’s senior sales manager, Michelle McGeoch, picked up the Sales award at this year’s PCR Women of the Year awards and networking event at London’s Sway Bar today (Friday, October 16th).

In a role that encompasses leading a highly experienced and motivated team to deliver aggressive sales and growth targets whilst maintaining excellent customer experience, McGeoch manages 22 sales people who provide IT hardware into the UK healthcare, local government and education sectors.

Over the past five years, she has been instrumental in growing Lenovo’s UK public sector business and is a truly inspirational leader.

McGeoch is also an active member of WILL (Women In Lenovo Leadership) – an organisation that addresses key priorities to support women’s growth and contribution to the company.

Last year’s PCR Woman of the Year winner, and Dell’s executive director, Sarah Shields handed out the award.

McGeoch said: "Thank you I’m very surprised. I have worked in IT for 25 years, I have never felt disadvantaged as a woman but I completely agree that we need to do more for all the women in our industry."

The PCR Women of the Year Awards 2015 shines the spotlight on some of the most inspirational and influential female execs in the PC tech industry.

Industry execs gathered to celebrate female role models and enjoy an afternoon of networking.

The event was supported by headline partner Zaboura Communications and event partners CompTIA, Dell and The Hut Group. For more info on the awards, visit our PCR Women of the Year website.

The awards ceremony followed the success of the inaugural PCR Woman of the Year awards last year, won by Dell’s Sarah Shields.
