The second PC Retail Awards went off with a bang last night, as over 300 retailers, resellers, distributors and vendors gathered in the Royal Garden Hotel in London to celebrate the achievements of the channel over the past year.
Acer did particularly well, taking home not only the prestigious Grand Prix prize, but also the Sales Team: Business award in the Vendor category.
The first ever Industry Achievement Award, which recognises outstanding success by an individual, went to CK from London based independent store YoYoTech.
EntaTech also shined on the night, being awarded with both the Sales Team: Business and Sales Innovation accolades in the Distribution category. Gem Creative, Target and VIP Computers also won awards.
On the retail front, Novatech and John Lewis were amongst the winners, while BullGuard, TomTom, Microsoft and Kingston Technology took home prizes in the Vendor category.
“The evening was a fantastic success – a huge thanks goes out to everyone who supported the event," said PC Retail publisher and Intent Media boss Stuart Dinsey. "All the awards are publicly voted for by the trade, so all the winners should be extremely proud."
