AMD has filed a complaint alleging that a number of former executives leaked over 100,000 documents to its rival Nvidia.
According to Ars Technica, a former VP and three former managers amassed sensitive documents before leaving and then attempted to recruit AMD employees to Nvidia.
The allegations state that Robert Feldstein, Manoo Desai and Nicolas Kociuk transferred 100,000 sensitive documents on to external hard drives in the months preceding their departure from the company. It is then alleged that the three, plus Richard Hagen, recruited MD employees in violation of a ‘no solicitation of employees’ agreement.
The evidence arose after AMD performed a forensic analysis of the former employee computers. The company has filed a restraining order against the four men that requires them to retain all AMD property and to retain all computers they own for further investigation.
