Amazon has started selling its Kindle e-reader in the UK.
The device is now available on these shores and the full library of 400,000 books, newspapers, magazines and blogs are also on the UK site. However, it has already sold out, with more to be available in early September.
The wi-fi only version costs £109, while the 3G and wi-fi version costs £149.
Despite seeing strong sales in the United States, UK customers had previously been forced to import the device if they wanted to purchase it and had to pay extra fees for downloading content from the US site.
