Adrian Liu named UK country manager for Cooler Master

Cooler Master Europe has appointed Adrian Liu to manage and handle its UK business.

Liu started with Cooler Master back in 2012 as a channel executive. He was featured in PCR’s 2014 30 under 30, which Liu said provided him with “the extra confidence boost when I was recognised in the industry”.

He has now been promoted as UK country manager for Cooler Master Europe – a role which Liu said is ‘very entrepreneurial.

“It’s managing and handling the UK as its own business unit. We pledge our targets early in the year then how we achieve it is dependent on the country manager,” Liu told PCR.

“We don’t get provided any guidebook or given directions that we need to follow, we make and execute our own business model and plan with our HQ supporting us as consultants.

“I am involved with sales, commercial, portfolio, and marketing – taking many of our products through the journey from factory, to forwarders, to distributors, to resellers and how it reaches our end-users,” he explained.

“Everything is very hands on which makes each day different and challenging, you really feel accomplished when you see that the business model you implemented is influencing the channel. The vendors, resellers and people we meet in this industry are not just business advocates but they become good friends, virtually like family, and this is why it’s such a great industry to be in.”

Cooler Master recently announced details of the Case Mod World Series 2016, a competitive event designed to find the greatest PC modders in the world.

The firm is offering up S$30,000 in cash and prizes and has brought together sponsors such as ASUS, Avexir, Dremel, NVIDIA, and OCZ to support and engage with the PC modding community.
