PC retailer shuts doors in London

YOYOTech enters voluntary liquidation

It appears that custom PC builder and independent retailer YOYOTech has gone into liquidation.

A commenter on the firm’s Facebook page said: OFFICIAL: I would just like to confirm that this company has gone under liquidation and all stock has been removed to a warehouse in Essex. The liquidator agents are ITC Valuers. Anyone who has left their property with Yoyotech should get in contact with these agents to arrange to have their belongings delivered to them."

Another poster said: "There’s a new sign outside their shop now saying they’re in liquidation. Not good news I’m afraid. This message is on the door: Antech trading as YOYOTECH have filed for CVL liquidation. To register your claims: gema.orr@bakertilly.co.uk ITC Valuers limited: Davd Davies for Outstanding collections and general enquiries: david.davies@itcvaluers.co.uk 01992566665."

PCR has not yet been able to reach staff at YOYOtech. Consequently, the exact details as to why the shop has closed are not available yet, but it’s a real shame to lose another independent from our high streets.

YOYOTech, which has been in business since 2002, won Independent Retailer at the PCR Awards 2008, and Industry Achievement Award in 2009.

MD C Kohli also took part in PCR’s Retail Advisory Panel, recently saying the firm was looking forward to further exploring social media in 2013/4.
