Over a million passwords accidentally leaked from YouPorn

YouPorn security goes tits-up

Login information for a chat feature on YouPorn, one of the most popular pornographic websites, was accidently made public after a third-party service provider failed to secure its data.

The information included email addresses and passwords of users who have signed up between 2008 and 2012, and was revealed after a “glitch in the matrix”.

The misbehaving server has been taken down and the chat site has been disabled and will remain offline until an investigation is carried out.

YouPorn is run by Manwin and is one of the 100 most-popular sites on the planet. “YouPorn’s third-party chat service failed to take the appropriate precautions in securing its user data. It will continues to ensure that all appropriate measures and tools are in place to maintain the security of its infrastructure, and to safeguard the privacy of its users," said Kate Miler, Spokeswoman for Manwin, in a statement.
