Yamaha has acquired audio specialist Revolabs.
The merger of the two companies is said to be targeted at helping Yamaha grow its enterprise presence for audio equipment.

Revolabs will continue to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation and execute on its existing roadmap with the current management team. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of March 2014.

Alongside the announcement of the merger, also revealed the FLX UC 1000 IP conference phone.
The FLX UC 1000 features SIP call and USB audio support, full-duplex technology and multiple communication channel integration, and is targeted at those seeking a desktop and small room conferencing solution.
The FLX UC 1000 features a dialer with a 3.5-inch color display and USB support, meaning users can connect the speakerphone to a laptop, PC or tablet for use with communication applications such as Skype, Lync, Sametime and WebEx.
"As HD audio becomes available across so many platforms, customers need a UC solution that can support the same fidelity requirements as high-end speaker systems," said Tim Root, chief technology officer of Revolabs.
