Microsoft has today released two early Christmas presents for customers, the Service Pack 1 for Office 2007, and Service Pack 3, Release Candidate 1 for Windows XP.With Service Pack 1 for Office 2007, Microsoft have addressed at least five bugs and improved the stability of its server components. Microsoft has also made improvements to security, that will offer better protection against malicious software.
Service Pack 3, which is somewhat a surprise for XP customers, includes 1,073 hotfixes and contains four new feature additions, including a new activation scheme, network access protection module, Microsoft kernel mode cryptographic module and black hole router detection algorithm.
Both service packs are available for download from Microsoft.
