40 per cent of former Woolworths branches are still empty, the Local Data Company has found.
The figure is a small change from last July, when 60 per cent of the stores were unoccupied.
From a regional perspective, 81 per cent of the London stores are taken, while around 50 per cent of ex-Woolworths stores in Northern Ireland are still empty.
2.1 per cent of the 807 ex-Woolworths units around the UK are already on their second tenant since the retailer collapsed in 2008.
