JooJoo Tablet is 2010's worst gadget, they say

Wired reveals ‘worst gear of the year’

Wired.com has unveiled what it says are the top ten ‘worst gear of the year’ gadgets with the Fusion Garage JooJoo Tablet being awarded the dubious honour of worst gadget of 2010.

The JooJoo Tablet is particularly notable since it was original destined to be branded the CrunchTab in a joint venture with TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington. Fusion Garage allegedly cut ties with Arrington and released the half-baked JooJoo tablet for $500 instead of the $200 originally planned.

"Twice the weight of an iPad with half the usability and an interface buggier than bucket full of cockroaches," said Wired of the JooJoo tablet, also lamenting the lack of 3G, applications, PDF reader or POP3 e-mail and on top of all that poor battery life.

The ill-fated JooJoo tablet was retired in November but not before Arrington launched legal action. "We wish the JooJoo were just a bad joke with no punch line," said Wired.
