Windows 8 details leaked

Windows 7 may not have hit the shelves yet, but details of a 128-bit Windows 8 have already been leaked by a Microsoft employee.

PC Pro reports that Robert Morgan, a senior member of Microsoft’s research and development team, left details of the forthcoming operating system on his LinkedIn profile, which has since been taken down.

The social networking profile, which can still be accessed via Google’s search cache, says Morgan is "Working in high security department for research and development involving strategic planning for medium and longterm projects. Research & Development projects including 128-bit architecture compatibility with the Windows 8 kernel and Windows 9 project plan. Forming relationships with major partners: Intel, AMD, HP and IBM."

Earlier this week, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer admitted that planning was already underway on Windows 8, but did not disclose any details.
