The president of Compal Electronics has stated that Windows 7 will be shipping as a pre-installed operating system as early as September this year.He told an investor conference that: “According to current planning, it should be late September or early October.”
Microsoft remains true to its official statement that Windows 7 will ship in January 2010, however it has been speculated that this is to avoid any potential embarrassment over unexpected delays.
Compal Electronics manufactures laptop PC for Hewlett Packard and Acer.
