Consumer electronics distributor Widget UK has launched an iPhone app for its trade customers and suppliers.
Available through iTunes, it allows users to check stock levels, price and product information from their iPhones.
Whilst this information has been (and is still) available through Widget's online portal, this move is recognising that more and more business is being done from smartphones.
Widget's chairman Mark Needham told PCR: "The application is free to all our customers and suppliers, both as a download and to use going forward. There are no fees of any kind. Each customer and supplier gets a unique login and password so that customer can see their own prices and suppliers can see the sales of their own products.
"Widget has always looked to use the latest information technology to make commerce easier for its customers and suppliers alike. This app will help make it easier to order and supply to Widget."
