AF international encourages gadget cleaning

When did you last clean your desk?

Cleaning chemical specialist AF International recently surveyed 1,000 business people who regularly use IT equipment to find out who cleans regularly.

The survey found only 45.8 per cent of people have their workplace cleaned on a daily basis, 15 per cent didn’t know if their office was ever cleaned, while 47 per cent admitted to eating at their desk every day.

When it came to taking office equipment home and back again – and presumably transferring at least a few germs on the way – 28.3 per cent were found to take work laptops home, and interestingly 26.4 per cent took personal laptops into the workplace.

Karen Harrison, marketing manager, said: “Our specially formulated products provide exceptional cleaning around the office and at home. The end-user survey results show just how important hygiene at work really is.

"Whether cleaning a laptop, smartphone or tablet technology, AF has a cleaning solution. Products have been tested and proven to have a 99.9% reduction of E-Coli, Staphylococcus aureus, H1N1 Swine Flu virus according to EN14476, and representative results various flu viruses, such as common flu and Bird Flu to name but a few. These solutions are quick, easy to use and affordable”.
