Westcoast has announced that it is to expand into selling memory, with it signing a deal to stock Transcends range of RAM, flash and HDD products.Speaking to channel.hexus, Westcoast product manager Eddie Wardlaw said: "We feel the time is right for us to make an impact in the UK memory market with a premium brand offering that falls in line with our commitment to supply market leading products at competitive prices."
Transcend's UK general managed, Norman Hsu added: "Westcoast is the ideal partner to compete with the likes of Kingston and Crucial to gain market share."
The deal comes less than a week after the vendor signed a deal with rival distributor VIP to supply it with desktop and memory modules, as reported PC Retail.
