‘Wearable tech is a hot product category now’ – Hannspree

The wearables market is starting to get more and more popular with brands and consumers, and now Hannspree is continuing its efforts in the industry with the launch of four new smart watch models.

The firm first entered the wearables market earlier this year with its Smart Sports Watch, priced at £29.99, but now Hannspree has just rolled out four new offerings.

The range features the Active 24, the Prime (pictured), the Legend and the Pulse, with prices varying from £49.99 to £89.

Martin Kent, territory manager for Hannspree UK, said: “We will once again be utilising our vertical integration as a small to medium size panel manufacturer, and as a savvy, consumer pleasing manufacturer to expand our product range to include wearable tech, which is very much a hot product category now and for the foreseeable future.

“Our new range is designed to cater for a diverse range of fitness, health conscious and gadget loving shoppers.”

Hannspree’s latest investment in the wearables market shows that there is life in the sector, and proves that it should not be ignored.

For example, there is already an annual Wearable Tech Show, where vendors get the chance to showcase their latest devices.

Tech giants including Apple are also embracing the wearables market, having launched the Apple Watch earlier this year and estimated to have sold more than four million units.

Plus, the activity tracker Fitbit is also gaining in popularity, and has recently ‘outsold’ the Apple Watch.

“Hannspree has always been at the forefront of trendy and fun products. Many will remember that some of the first products we brought to market were unique designer TVs, and our company name literally translates to ‘fun extravaganza’,” added Kent.

"Our ability to react quickly to the ever changing CE market is thanks to the experienced and advanced engineering capabilities of our parent company which happens to be one of the largest glass panel and touch screen technology manufacturers in the world.”
