Mobile network operator Vodafone has launched a new service called Test Drive which allows the customer as much internet access as they like in the first three months so they can choose an appropriate level of data allowance.
"We’ll keep an eye on your usage. Then - at the end of your 3 month Data Test Drive - we’ll send you a text to let you know how you’ve got on," Vodafone said in the announcement.
Vodafone are clearly hoping that customers used to unlimited data will go on to upgrade their monthly plan, something they've made easy via a simple text message.
Any new mobile on a pay-monthly deal is now eligible for the three month Test Drive.
