VIP has announced that it is to distribute Asus' EEE PC in the UK.The seven-inch laptop, which weighs less than 1KG and has a Linux operating system, has an RRP of £219.
Speaking about the launch, VIP product manager Stuart Watson said: "VIP is delighted to introduce this revolutionary product into the UK. The EEE PC is already generating lots of positive feedback and the combination of size, price and ease of use will open up a huge market of new and existing laptop consumers."
It was a point echoed by Asus' notebook product manager Shawn Chang:
"The combination of features and price makes Asus EEE PC one of the best presents for this Christmas."
Further models are scheduled for release in the coming months.
