VIP has strengthened its networking offering with the Warrington-based firm becoming an official distributor for Edimax.Edimax, which was founded in Taiwan in 1986, specialises in networking products including routers. The firm strongly insists its success is down to it driving growth through its partner channel network.
Speaking about the deal, VIP product manager Mark Lynch said: " I am delighted to be welcoming Edimax to our line-up of Networking Brands. Both the range and quality of Edimax products perfectly compliments our current range.
"I have been hugely impressed by Edimax's desire and ambition of growing its brand name in 2008. I am confident that both VIP and Edimax will enjoy great success with this new partnership."
Edimax's sales manager, Simon Higgins added: "To drive sales it is vital to work with a distributor with strong channel relationships already in place. We're pleased that VIP Computers has decided to enter into this distribution agreement, which will make Edimax products available to a much wider market throughout the UK.
"VIP Computers impressed us with their passion for customer service, knowledge of the products and experience in the UK market."
