Having opened a new office in Miami, UK distributor VIP Computers is looking for more growth in overseas markets.
The new office will primarily bolster operations in Latin America, however the firm has not ruled out expansion in the United States.
Andreas Lindhardt, managing director in charge of Americas, told us: “Our focus in the Americas will remain on the ever growing Latin American market for at least the next one or two years. As such our business model in Miami is tailored to the specific requirements of the Latin American market. We are however not ruling out increasing our local US presence in the years to come.”
He also believes that larger and stronger businesses in foreign territories will provide benefits to the UK operation.
“In the Latin American market alone we are looking to grow significantly in the next 2 years. The more active the non-UK offices become in their local markets and the more vendor relationships are forged overseas it will translate into more sourcing opportunities and potential new directions for VIP UK.”
