Twitter will soon introduce an official video-upload option where users will be able to ‘tweet’ short video messages, according to reports.
The management behind the buzzing microblogging site are said to be discussing the logistics of giving users the chance to upload short videos via web cams and mobile phones, says a Telegraph report.
Video uploads are already technically possible with Twitter, with users able to upload video using third-party applications, though in these cases only a hyperlink to the video is displayed on the site’s feed.
It is not confirmed whether Twitter will adopt this linking system or will instead display videos within a user’s feed.
Twitter has yet to yield a profit, though a confidence surrounds the group suggesting it will. The firm is valued at £603 million.
