According to reports coming out of Taiwan, Nvidia is preparing to launch its first PCI-Express 2-based graphics cards this October.
The cards, which will carry the 8x00 moniker are due to hit shelves in time for the upcoming release of Intel and Nvidia's upcoming PCI-Express 2 motherboards – the first to support the new standard.
The GeForce 9800 is expected to be the first card to be released for the new standard, which increases the speeds of data transfer from 2.5GT/s to 5GT/s.
