Electronics vendor Veho has signed up Ingram Micro to distribute its products in the UK.
Ingram Micro was chosen to help the Hampshire-based firm penetrate the High Street retail market due to its longstanding relationships in the field.
“This is quite a major step for Veho, as Ingram is recognised as a market leader for IT and consumer electronic distribution,” Veho’s founder and international sales director, Steve Lewis, told PCR. “Veho’s main reason for collaborating with Ingram is that it wants to attack the High Street retail market and sees it as the link to this strategy.”
Ingram Micro joins a number of distributors including Target Components, Micro P and Bluepoint that feed Veho products to the UK channel.
Veho, which started out in specialist imaging products, is increasingly moving into the consumer electronics market, with recent successful products including the Muvi mini DV camcorder and the Sports MP3 player.
