A bumper year for HP in the UK has led the vendor to proclaim its 'best ever' financial results, adding that it was planning to increase its channel funding during 2008.However, the company said that the funds would be used to improve its existing initiatives, such as the changes it made to its Preferred Partner Program, as reported by PC Retail.
It added that it was planning to focus on growing its loyal partners next year.
Speaking about the news, director of HP's Solution Partners Division in the UK and Ireland, David Poskett said: "We just finished our financial year in November. We are now a $100 billion corporation and from a UK perspective we have had probably the best year yet.
"Our strategy will remain the same, but our focus will be on growing the business and investment.
"In the UK we have invested $170 milion in our partners over the past year. Our theme is going to be investment in partners that will help us drive growth and reward loyalty."
