The European Commission has given the green light for the current regulations imposed on broadband wholesalers in the UK to be relaxed, the BBC reports.A recent review has claimed that around 64 per cent of the UK broadband marketplace enjoys enough competition in the sector to prevent any one wholesaler winning a dominant position.
The news has lead Ofcom to suggest that it might now relax the regulations that were first brought in to prevent former monopoly holder BT gaining a stranglehold on the market.
