Although the Mac Expo has seen its final day, the various trade shows around the country are still drawing crowds despite the recession.
While a combination of customer apathy and a paucity of available information has been attributed to the decline of Mac Expo, TCA director Robert Peckham has observed that despite his expectations, events like the Storage Expo can still pull in plenty of exhibitors and attendees.
“The aisles were crowded,” Peckham noted at Storage Expo. “Every stand appeared to have many interested visitors, the hall was full of high-profile, significant brand names in the storage market and there were plenty of well-attended seminars and educational sessions, both on stands and in adjoining meeting rooms.
“When I finally got to speak to anyone on a stand, they all reported a similar story throughout all the days of the show.”
