Consumer electronics vendor Toshiba is to reveal its new Cell TV, which it claims is the future of television.Based around the new Cell processor, Cell TV is not strictly a television but a set top box with a 55-inch LED panel for the screen. It boasts the ability to record six HD signals at once and features the capacity for internet interaction.
Cell TV is a joint project with Toshiba, Sony and IBM and although marketing will begin in 2009, prices and initial markets are as yet unannounced.
