Toshiba has signed up to support the inaugural PC Retail Awards by becoming an event partner for the ceremony due to be held at the Café Royal in London, on March 13th, 2008.Speaking about becoming event partner, head of consumer at Toshiba, Tony Ellington said: "I think it's a great idea to have a retail specific awards ceremony, as I think it is time the retail channel was recognised separately.
"We're pleased to be event partner in what I feel could turn into something that rivals other recognised award ceremonies. We look forward to seeing our partners at the awards ceremony," added Ellington.
The PC Retail awards will take place at the Cafe Royal in the West End of London on Thursday March 13th.
The finalists were announced in the December issue of PC Retail. An independent panel of 75 industry insiders will decide the eventual winners.
