UK computer retailers, resellers and technicians are to be recognised for the fist time at the newly launched PC Retail awards.These organisations represent the frontline of the technology channel and are the crucial point of contact between the industry and the consumer. And it is for this very reason that PC Retail has chosen to give this sector of the business the recognition it deserves.
The frontline category is the cornerstone of the 2008 awards, which will be held on Thursday March 13th at the Cafe Royal on London's Regent Street. This category belongs to the trade readers of PC Retail and is acknowledgement of the hard work they put in.
"Retailers are the lifeblood of any consumer-facing industry, but until now the computing and IT channel has not been recognised and rewarded for its contribution to the success of the overall business," said Lisa Foster, managing editor of PC Retail. “That is all set to change with the arrival of the PC Retail Awards 08."
