Tesco has expanded its range of own brand electronics that it stocks in its Express format stores with the introduction of SD memory cards.
The cards, which will be available through its 1300 Express format stores, will come in 512Mb and 1GB variants. The move comes after a deal with memory card supplier Catalus to supply the retailer with a variety of goods to sell under its Tesco brand.
Tesco, who along with rival Asda has announced its intentions to become the largest non-food retailer in the UK and see moves into areas such as this as key to its strategy.
