The distributor teams up with Panasonic and its Toughbook range

Tech Data targets emergency services

Tech Data is targeting the emergency services after partnering with Panasonic and its portfolio of Toughbook mobile devices.

The Toughbook range has been designed for challenging working conditions, making the devices ideal for use within the emergency services.

The Toughbook models are dust, water, vibration and drop proof from a height of up to 180cm. They can also operate in both low and high temperatures, and offer long lasting battery life.

Stewart Hayward, marketing services director at Tech Data, said: “The Panasonic Toughbook range addresses a segment market that no other mobile vendor has really targeted and with our specific focus on the public sector, we see really good potential here with the Blue Light services in particular."

This news comes after the firm announced it was launching a series of Virtual Hospital rooms.

The distributor has created the virtual rooms to help resellers within the healthcare sector learn about new products and solutions available.
