Tech Data has announced the appointment of Colin Shepherd as the new head of its supplies business unit.
Shepherd has more than 15 years of experience working within specialist roles within distribution, with the goal to help resellers and dealers grow their sales.
“I intend to take full advantage of those (Tech Data’s) resources to ensure that our customers have the opportunity to maximise their sales of cartridges and other consumables supplies and accessories they can offer on leading brands with the support of Tech Data," he said.
The distributor has also been selected to take part in Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program.
The program has been designed to expand cloud sales for resellers by allowing them to provide direct billing, sell combined offers and services and more.
CSP will be integrated into Tech Data’s StreamOne Cloud platform, allowing resellers from Tech Data’s European side to access the service.

This news comes after Tech Data was named Microsoft OEM Partner of the Year for the EMEA region.
