The annual ‘Silicon Valley comes to the UK’ event will take place on Saturday, marking the end of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
The event is part of an ongoing project to turn the Shoreditch and Old Street area of East London – which currently hosts a number of tech and online start-ups – in to a European rival to Silicon Valley.
The day will feature a number of panels addressing a range of topics, including product design, securing financing, building a company and leveraging the community, and will feature a number of high profile speakers, including LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and Threadless CEO, Thomas Ryan.
“We’re delighted to be able to welcome so many luminaries from Silicon Valley here to Tech City,” said Eric van der Kleij, CEO of the Tech City Investment Organisation.
“Not only does it give companies the chance to benefit from their knowledge but it also helps highlight the exciting, emerging talent here in the UK to a key audience. I hope that the event will interest and engage both communities and help develop future ties.”
