Target Components has snapped up the distribution rights 3K Computers' notebook range in the UK and Europe. The deal marks the vendor's first foray into the market, where it will be hoping to make an impact with its range that includes, mini-notebooks, desktops, servers and laptops – some of which are apparently built to meet military and industrial standards.
The first product to appear will be the Windows CE powered 3K RazorBook 400 mini-notebook, which has Adobe Flash functionality, built in wi-fi, three USB ports and an SD card slot.
“In the US and Canada, we partnered with Ingram Micro due to their sheer size and demand generation expertise within the North American market,” said Dan Jacobs, CEO of 3K Computers. “We teamed with Target because of the distributor’s proven track record and keen ability to help US-based IT companies establish strong footprints in the UK and European IT channels. Target demonstrated due diligence in pursuing its business relationship with 3K and we expect them to pursue the growth of our mutual business with similar tenacity.
“Demand for mobile technologies is at a record high around the globe, which makes it an ideal time for 3K to tap into the power of the IT channel and bring our innovative, high-performance IT product portfolio, not only to North America, but also the UK and Europe.”
