Target Components has launched a range of free workshops providing business support for its customers.
The Yorkshire-based company started up the programme at the end of 2011 and has already seen attendees from as far away as Canterbury, Wales, Birmingham and London.
The half-day meetings focus on non-conventional marketing techniques to help independent retailers user their expertise and passion to compete with the big chains. The workshops take the form of small-group, roundtable discussions with the lead taken by Target’s dedicated business advisor, John Coulter.
John’s former role was as business advisor for Business Link, which had its funds pulled by the government in November last year, and was one of the key speakers at Target’s Open Day and Business Expo in September. Impressed with John’s enthusiasm for all things business related, in particular the difficulties experienced by independent businesses, Target’s managing director, Paul Cubbage, saw the benefits that John’s expertise would bring to its customers.
Along with the workshops, Target’s free business support also includes a microsite called Shop Talk, which contains articles, blogs and additional resources.
