Target has set its sights on the lucrative mobile broadband market, after it signed a deal to sell 3's starter packs."Mobile Broadband is something we have been looking at for sometime as it fits very well within our product portfolio so we were delighted when Hutchinson approached us," explained Target's purchasing manager Kelly Burnley.
"We have seen a massive growth in laptop and netbook sales and customers have been asking us for mobile broadband products for sometime," she added.
Target has also indicated that it currently in negotiations with other broadband providers, with further deals in the pipeline. "Part of my objective is to deliver what our resellers need to stay competitive, adding value by delivering the latest opportunities via Target," commented sales director Adrian Macklin.
"This agreement yet again cements the confidence of vendors and is just one of a number we have been recently negotiating with, more to be announced over the coming months, further supporting our customers new and old."
The firm has also begun stocking wireless routers that can be ran off of the 3G dongles.
