Castleford-based distie, Target Components has snapped up the rights to TPLink's range of networking products, as the latter plans to replicate its number one position in China in the UK.The move is the latest in slew of vendor deals, following key contracts with Biostar and 3K earlier this year.
TP-Link is gearing up to snatch a significant chunk of the home and small office networking market, having made its mark in around 50 countries over the past 12 years.
"The move, as with Biostar and 3K, shows that TP-Link has recognised Target as being a forward thinking, progressive distributor with a strong emphasis on building brands," commented Target's Chris Pyatt.
"Similar to Target's, the TP-Link brand is enjoying great growth at the moment and 2008 has been an exciting time for both parties," he added.
Pyatt is confident that the relationship will have benefits for both firms: "The networking provider has won numerous global awards and Target's marketing team will play a key role in the progression of the brand into the UK market."
