Buying group looks to secure deal with Apple distributor, after signing 15 Mac resellers during August

Synaxon targets Apple market

Synaxon has set its sights on the Mac market, after it announced plans to recruit an Apple specialist distributor following its recruitment of 15 Apple resellers during August.

"We are eager to extend the choice we can offer Mac resellers and include a good selection of specialist and Mac-compatible products," commented Synaxon operations manager Gary Sargent.

"We are delighted to be welcoming so many prominent members of the Mac reseller community to Synaxon and we hope that many more will follow."

Synaxon put the increase in Apple specialist signing up to the buying group down to the recent merger between the Professional Computing Association and the Mac Technology Association to form the TCA.

The newly formed trade body added its backing to Mac resellers joining the buying group. "The Synaxon concept is excellent and they should be applauded and encouraged for their efforts to help resellers drive their business development," said MTA director Robert Peckham. "We’d advise all our Apple Mac dealer members to seriously consider becoming members."

One of the new members, Hi-Tech Bradford said it had joined as Synaxon’s offers set it apart from the competition. "We heard about the benefits it is delivering to other resellers and wanted to be a part of that," said Hi-Tech Bradford director Paul Rhodes.

"With the EGIS system, the regular iTrends mailer and the exclusive promotions and other benefits it brings, deciding whether or not to become a member did not take us long."
