PCR speaks to Tony Houlihan, MD of Twenty Four IT, about the company's plans to move into Managed Print Services and the benefits of working with Synaxon

Synaxon Member Profile: Twenty Four IT

MD Tony Houlihan talks about growing Twenty Four IT’s team of engineers, its move into Managed Print Services, and why it is important to be a proactive, not reactive, company…

What products and services do you offer?

We are an outsourced IT management company and offer IT support services, networking, broadband services, back up and disaster recovery solutions, telephone VoIP Systems, satellite broadband, hardware and software sales, and CCTV to SMBs throughout the UK.

How has business been?

2014 has been a very busy year for us. We have grown from an efficient team of four to an impressive team of ten during the last 12 months. This is a mix of gaining new clients and an increase in demand from current clients. We are thrilled with this growth and the additional engineers which increase the experience and knowledge our team are able to implement for the benefit of our client base.

What do you have planned over the next few years?

We are always looking to further enhance our portfolio and offerings. Next on the agenda has to be Managed Print Services. The demand is there. With the right relationships in the channel we will be able to deliver this across both our current and incremental clients.

What’s the best thing about what you do?

We are very passionate about providing a service to our clients based on being proactive, not reactive. This means that we have engineers working on servers and systems in the background to ensure that problems are avoided. We like to keep things working rather than keep fixing them. This way our clients are happy and so are we.

What are the benefits of working with an organisation like Synaxon?

We have been a Synaxon member for a couple of years now. When we joined we were really struggling with the amount of time procurement takes and needed a solution to make life a little easier. Synaxon’s EGIS eProcurement platform certainly ticked those boxes. A big ‘value add’ is the relationship facilitation we receive from our account manager, which enables us to speak to vendors directly.

How did the company start?

Twenty Four IT is a trading name of Stronghold IT Services which was established in 2009. Over the years we have grown organically via client recommendations predominantly in the logistics and haulage verticals. Since the beginning of the year we have identified a number of other verticals, into which we can transfer our expertise in business critical system support, together with business continuity strategy.
