Stone has signed an exclusive deal to provide IT hardware to the University of Wolverhampton, with an initial order valued in the region of £575,000 for the university’s new multi-million pound computer facility.
Stone will supply 649 desktop computers, monitors and ongoing support for the MI Technology Centre, and the deal also includes several other projects throughout the campus ahead of the new academic year.
Dean Harris, Assistant Director of IT Services, University of Wolverhampton, comments, “The MI building represents a drive to provide our student body with the very best ICT equipment, something which we feel is vital to educational performance. Stone’s provision of ICT hardware is instrumental in this vision, and it is also very important to the university to be supporting a local business.”
Stone CEO James Bird (pictured) added: “The project with University of Wolverhampton is important not only because it represents our strength in the Higher Education space, but also because it supports a local educational institution, with Stone’s technology hopefully playing a big part in making it a centre of excellence.”
