School gives all pupils free copy of Office 365 ProPlus

Stone Group supplies £14.9m school with next-gen ICT infrastructure

Tibshelf Community School has teamed up with Stone Group to create an anytime, anywhere learning environment for its students.

The technology supplied by Stone Group includes over 250 notebooks, 75 touchscreen Lenovo Ultrabooks for every teacher, 16 iMacs within the media suite and 80 iPads for use in any classroom set-up.

There is also an interactive white board in every classroom and unified Microsoft 8.1 across multiple platforms supports an active BYOD scheme that enables staff and students’ access to the network on any device and in any location.

Tibshelf is an early adopter of Microsoft’s Student Advantage programme, and will be giving all pupils within the school and up to five members of their family a free copy of Office 365 ProPlus to use on both BYOD devices and those used in the home.

“Stone Group has been committed to making it work for us, consistently going above and beyond what was expected from our new-build project,” says Brian Fischer, assistant headteacher at Tibshelf.

“We really wanted inspiration and an injection of fresh ideas and Stone Group has given us exactly that. Their collaboration with our building contractor has been exemplary and that is testament to the skilled people they have within the team. Stone Group’s ability to offer a total solution and service is second to none.”
