Spotify has come out swinging against suggestions on US blog TechCrunch that it's in talks with Apple about an acquisition deal.
"We have absolutely no intention of selling Spotify," the company's spokesperson told Music Ally. "We’re working hard to build the best music service we can and are in this for the long haul."
TechCrunch's story claimed that Spotify was in "on-again, off-again discussions with Apple", although it described the talks as at best "very early in the process".
The article also suggested that Spotify almost sold to Google last year for nearly $1 billion.
