Spire Technology this month joins the select few UK distributors to celebrate a 20th anniversary.
The Dorset-based company, which distributes products for Asus and TP-Link among others, has grown to employ 60 people and take on 1500 product lines since its inception in 1990.
“I joined Spire as a purchaser when all we sold was Atari hardware and software. Back in those days the mobile phone wasn’t, laptops had mono screens and hard drives were measured in Megabytes not Gigabytes,” said Spire Technology’s sales director, John Appleton.
“The numerous companies that have come and gone over the years are testament to just how difficult it is to pass the 20-year milestone, so we feel proud of our achievement and have enjoyed the journey so far. However, we must extend a huge ‘thank you’ to our customers and suppliers alike for their continued support and loyalty without which the last 20 years simply would not have been possible.”
